Highly highly recommend TJs! I used them to help with some debris and junk removal that we had been putting off and they were super professional, incredibly helpful, and non-judgmental.

TJ's was a joy to work with. The whole process was easy, pricing was transparent and fair... showed up promptly on time and were happy to even pick up a few extra things we found while they were there.

Near the line?
Call and we'll tell you right away if we can get there.
Yes. We handle the demolition permit and coordinate with your building department through the final inspection. Connecticut has the owner sign the permit along with us.
Who disconnects the utilities?
The utility companies shut off their service, and licensed electricians, plumbers and gas specialists cap the lines to code, all before the teardown starts. We go over who sets up each one when we walk the property.
Do you remove the foundation?
We can. Foundation and concrete removal is an option, or the foundation can stay in place if your plans and your building official allow it. Tell us at the walkthrough.
What about asbestos?
We don't remove asbestos. The house is checked for asbestos before demolition, and if any is found, a licensed abatement contractor removes it before our demolition begins. Ask us about it when we walk the property.
How is house demolition priced?
By the size of the house, what it's built from, the site, and whether the foundation comes out. You get a firm price after we walk the property, and you approve it before we start. It changes only if the job changes, and we talk with you before it does.
More questions (2)
Can you clear out what is left in the house first?
Yes. Tell us what's still inside when you call and we'll clear it out before the teardown. A few things we can't take, like chemicals, fluids and propane tanks, have to go another way.
What if I don't need the whole house taken down?
Call and tell us what needs to come down. For one room or part of the inside, ask about interior demolition.
